Temple Judea is proud of the team of volunteers who bring joy and a love of learning to the students at Grove Park Elementary School each month. The dedicated group of approximately 15 volunteers partners with school librarian Erika Mardis, whose warmth, enthusiasm, and vision have made this reading program truly special.
The energy and eagerness of the young students is nothing short of inspiring — their bright eyes and enthusiastic engagement remind participants why this work matters so deeply. This program beautifully reflects the Jewish value of tikkun olam — repairing the world — one story, one child, and one shared moment of connection at a time.
