Iryssa Jackowitz

Temple Israel, West Palm Beach’s only Reform synagogue and the first Jewish organization established in Palm Beach County, has named Iryssa Jackowitz as its new Director of Experiences & Engagement and Becky Saka as its Marketing Director.
The appointments come during an exciting period of growth for Temple Israel, following its recent move to a new, centrally located West Palm Beach campus.
“Creating meaningful, diverse opportunities for people to connect with one another and with Jewish life is at the heart of who we are,” shared Rabbi Carlie Daniels.
Rabbi Ryan Daniels added, “Iryssa and Becky each bring tremendous creativity, experience, and an understanding of how to engage people in authentic ways. As Temple Israel continues to grow, they will help us create experiences that bring people together while ensuring more people throughout our community know there is a place for them here.”
In Jackowitz’s newly created leadership role, she will focus on developing innovative programs and opportunities for congregants to connect, celebrate, learn, and grow together. She will lead experiences ranging from holiday celebrations and family programs to educational events, volunteer opportunities, and social gatherings.
Jackowitz joins Temple Israel after more than three years with Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County, where she served as assistant director of community engagement, expanding opportunities to activate Jewish life throughout the Palm Beaches. She created Federation’s highly successful Community Connections initiative, growing it into a network of 17 Community Connectors serving from Boynton Beach to Port St. Lucie and helping thousands of people build friendships, discover Jewish experiences, and find a sense of belonging. Jackowitz also served as Federation’s Community Navigator, helping newcomers connect with Jewish Palm Beach and revitalizing Shalom Palm Beach.
Saka will lead Temple Israel’s marketing and communications strategy, overseeing brand development, digital communications, creative direction, and audience engagement. This includes strengthening Temple Israel’s visibility throughout the Palm Beaches and expanding how the congregation reaches and engages current and prospective members, as well as amplifying programs, initiatives, and work that bring its mission to life.
Saka has more than 12 years of experience in marketing, brand development, and audience engagement. With a degree in business and marketing, she has held senior marketing leadership roles across the hospitality and consumer industries, including serving as marketing director for a prominent hospitality group alongside a celebrity chef.
Throughout her career, she has helped launch and grow multiple brands, developing marketing strategies that combine creativity, storytelling, and measurable results.
