Rabbi Cantor Danielle Bensimhon with Rabbi Matt Berkowitz
Temple Beth David welcomes back Rabbi Matt Berkowitz for the High Holy Days this year. A longtime friend of the Palm Beach County Jewish community, Rabbi Matt will once again join Rabbi Cantor Danielle Bensimhon on the bimah, helping to create a High Holy Day experience that is warm, reflective, inspiring, and welcoming to all.
Rabbi Berkowitz is president of the Schechter Institute of Jewish Studies in Israel, an institution dedicated to Jewish learning, scholarship, and the strengthening of Jewish life in Israel and around the world. His years of experience as a rabbi, educator, and Jewish leader bring a unique perspective to the High Holy Days, combining thoughtful teaching with a deep appreciation for the spiritual and communal meaning of this sacred time of year.
During his time at Temple Beth David, Rabbi Matt will also offer several programs and opportunities for learning and discussion. Together, the two rabbis will bring different perspectives and complementary voices to the bimah, creating services that invite reflection, inspiration, and connection.
In addition to the services themselves, Rabbi Matt’s visit will include opportunities for learning, conversation, and engagement. His programs will offer members of the community the chance to explore Jewish ideas and contemporary issues in a thoughtful and welcoming setting.
