The first rule of public speaking is to stop talking before the audience stops listening. Rabbi Shmuel Lew recently spoke to the Chabad of Palm Beach Gardens Men’s Club for 90 minutes — and no one stopped listening.
Rabbi Lew regaled the men with wisdom and humor based on a lifetime of personal experiences that had taken him from an early life in Brooklyn to the Soviet Union, where he smuggled matzah for Jews at Pesach, and to Greenland, where he led High Holy Day services for Jewish American servicemen. His chronicles included stories of personal interactions with the Rebbe and the wisdom of living a life of purpose.
At 86, Rabbi Lew’s energy was inspiring and his humor was infectious. The event was at times a classroom lecture and at other times a standup comedy performance. Do not miss the opportunity to hear him in person.
