Nearly 200 members of Palm Beach County’s legal community, along with community leaders and friends, came together for the 3rd Annual Unity Passover Seder, an evening that blended tradition, education, and meaningful connection across faiths and backgrounds. The event was held at Temple Beth El in West Palm Beach.

Led by the Jewish Lawyers Association of Palm Beach County in partnership with nine voluntary bar associations, the event immersed attendees in the full Passover experience — from learning the symbolism of the seder plate to tasting traditional elements such as matzah, bitter herbs, and wine — and highlighted the enduring themes of freedom, justice, and dignity.

The seder was led by Rabbi Carlie Daniels of Temple Israel and Rev. Henry E. Green III of Mount Hermon African Methodist Episcopal Church, with musical accompaniment by Cantorial Soloist Kaylene Cole of Temple Judea and Ebony Choir Soloist Flora Jackson, guiding guests through the story of the Exodus and its continued relevance today.

Adding to the evening’s collaborative spirit, several notable attorneys and judges took part in leading portions of the seder, offering readings and reflections that connected the ancient traditions to modern-day legal principles of justice and equality.

This year’s event, co-chaired by Heather G. Stohlman, Esq., of Greenhill Stohlman P.A. and Stacey Mullins, Esq., from GrayRobinson, was sponsored by Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and its Palm Beach Center to Combat Antisemitism & Hatred.

Guided by the theme Connected by Faith, Strengthened by Community, the program created space for dialogue, learning, and relationship-building across diverse backgrounds and perspectives, reinforcing the power of coming together in a time when unity and understanding are more important than ever.

“The Unity Seder has become a meaningful opportunity for our diverse legal community to deepen relationships across faiths, cultures, and professional organizations while reaffirming shared values that are central both to Jewish tradition and the practice of law,” said Stohlman. “It was incredibly powerful to see nearly 200 people not only attend, but truly engage and connect during the experience.”
