Temple Israel of West Palm Beach marked a historic milestone as nearly 250 congregants gathered for the synagogue’s first Shabbat service in its new congregational home, with joyful services co-led by Rabbis Ryan Daniels and Carlie Daniels, alongside cantorial soloist Suzanne Guinane.
Held in advance of the Jewish holiday of Purim, the Shabbat service embraced the festive spirit of the holiday, complete with a K-pop theme and congregants donned in a range of fun and creative costumes.
The evening began with two celebrations: a Purim Family Experience outside that featured bounce houses, crafts, music, face painting, and laughter, while a reception held inside offered congregants and friends an opportunity to connect before Temple Israel’s service.

The first Shabbat blended joy and tradition, with families, children, and longtime members filling the room, and synagogue leaders and staff continuing to bring out more chairs to accommodate the growing crowd.
“This milestone moment at Temple Israel reminded us that a building becomes sacred not because of walls and windows, but because of the people who gather within it,” shared Rabbi Ryan Daniels.
Rabbi Carlie Daniels added, “We are so grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate, to sing, to play, and to begin this exciting new chapter together.”
