JARC Florida, a nonprofit organization based in Boca Raton that provides programs and services to educate and empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, has appointed four individuals to its board of directors. Joining the board as new members are Gregory S. Gefen, Esq., and Claudia Joyner. Returning to board service are Peter Levine, former board president, and Jerry Kransdorf, a longtime supporter and former board member.
“JARC Florida is fortunate to welcome such an accomplished and dedicated group of leaders to our board of directors,” said CEO Jeffrey Zirulnick. “Each of these individuals brings valuable professional expertise, personal passion, and a deep commitment to our mission. Their leadership will help strengthen our organization as we continue creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live more independent, fulfilling lives.”
Gregory S. Gefen has been active in the South Florida community for more than 30 years, supporting organizations including JARC Florida and local Jewish Federations. His connection to JARC is personal, as his brother has been a resident for more than 20 years.
For more than 11 years Claudia Langton Joyner has worked closely with JARC Florida and witnessed firsthand the organization’s impact on the individuals and families it serves.
Peter Levine has dedicated much of his career and volunteer service to supporting individuals with disabilities and strengthening nonprofit organizations. A former president of JARC Florida’s board of directors, Levine has been actively involved with the organization for many years.
Jerry Kransdorf has supported JARC Florida since 2012 and currently co-sponsors the organization’s Sports Talk program. He has served in numerous governance and board leadership roles throughout his career, including as a member of JARC’s finance and golf committees.
