Temple Israel invites members, guests, and those looking to experience the High Holy Days to join the congregation for a meaningful season of worship, reflection, and community at its new campus in West Palm Beach.
The High Holy Days, Judaism’s holiest time of year, begin with Selichot on Saturday, September 5, continues through Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, and concludes with celebrations of Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Throughout the season, Temple Israel will offer traditional worship services alongside family programming, as well as opportunities for learning and community gatherings.
“At Temple Israel, our doors are always open, and particularly so during the High Holy Days for those who are looking to experience a meaningful, welcoming holiday season,” said Rabbi Ryan Daniels.

We look forward to welcoming our community into our beautiful new home that’s even more centrally located for those throughout the Palm Beaches.”
In addition to High Holy Day services, Temple Israel’s 2026 season features several unique experiences, including:
• Reverse Tashlich, Sunday, August 30: For the third time, Temple Israel will participate in this international Jewish waterfront cleanup effort that pairs the ancient Jewish tradition of Tashlich with helping to clean a local beachfront.
• Family experiences on both Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, designed for families with children ages 0-12. There is no cost to attend; however, advance registration is required. The temple will also host a family Shabbat experience at Malka restaurant on Friday, September 18.
• Selichot, Saturday, Sept. 5: a reflective and meaningful ritual held on the Saturday night before Rosh Hashanah, featuring Havdalah, music, prayer, and a dessert reception.
• Yom Kippur afternoon programming, including meaningful music and opportunities for personal prayer and meditation; plus, a community conversation with Urban League of Palm Beach County CEO Patrick Franklin exploring the Jewish value of tikkun olam (repairing the world).
• The congregation’s annual break-the-fast community meal following Yom Kippur.
All High Holy Day services and programs will be held at Temple Israel’s campus in West Palm Beach. The 103-year-old temple recently relocated to this new campus after 75 years at its location closer to the West Palm waterfront.
