Temple Beth David welcomed congregants and guests for a festive Red, White & Blue Shabbat last month, combining community, faith, and patriotism in celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

The evening began with a barbecue dinner, bringing members together for fellowship before moving into the sanctuary for Shabbat services.

In honor of the nation’s semi-quincentennial, Rabbi Cantor Danielle Bensimhon incorporated patriotic selections into the service, including The Star-Spangled Banner and God Bless America. The music provided a meaningful tribute to the country’s milestone while complementing the spiritual themes of the evening.

The special Shabbat service reflected Temple Beth David’s commitment to celebrating both Jewish tradition and the shared values of the American community, making for a memorable and inspiring evening for all who attended.
