The Hadassah Florida Atlantic and Broward Regions were the recipients of a generous $10,000 donation awarded by Wendy Honig and Lesley Rich, co-founders of the Boca International Jewish Film Festival along with Arleen Roberts.
Hadassah is the grateful beneficiary of multiple screenings of the documentary film Labors of Love: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Szold shown at theatres in Lake Worth, Delray Beach, Boca Raton, and Deerfield Beach. Henrietta Szold founded Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America in 1912.
Labors of Love: The Life and Legacy of Henrietta Szold beautifully and aptly reflects the efforts of director Abby Ginsburg, granddaughter of Louis Ginsburg, who was Szold’s associate and unrequited love interest before his marriage to Ms. Ginsburg’s grandmother.
